I almost forgot to mention that tomorrow is Springettsbury Township's Saturday in the Park. The day starts at 8am with registration for the 5K race and fun run, you can sign up at the YAUFR Headquarters Parking Lot (fire station). The fun run begins at 9:30am and the 5K at 9:45am. Starting at 11:30am there is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, and starting at noon in the amphitheater there are dancing and twirling routines from different dance companies in the area. Later in the evening there is a Panthers Soccer game, followed by an EYC football game and a York Little League game. (If there is a sport your child might be interested in this might be a fun way to introduce them!)
The fun stuff like face painting, bounce houses and hot air balloon rides are all starting at noon. Some things cost $2, like the bounce houses and inflatable slides, other things like the face painting and balloon animals are free. There is so much going on that I really would have to write for hours, but needless to say its going to be a very fun day and to top it all of there is a fireworks display to end the day at 8pm.
